Design & Manufacturing
Cut Made Trim
Here you get an insight into our design and manufacturing processes.
Would you like to know more about our fabrics?
Our design is created in Julia's creative office. In Gröbenzell to be precise, but hardly anyone knows this small town on the western border of Munich. In any case, the first steps of the design process take place here. This includes the choice of fabrics and the design of our collections. To design truly sustainably, the pieces have to be well thought out, comfortable and of very good quality so that they last a long time. We are also always looking for even better materials so that we can completely do without plastic and pollutant-rich materials. The aim is to develop our clothing with all its different components in such a way that it can be worn for a long time and easily combined. At the end, when it is worn out or broken, it should simply be converted into soil on the compost and thus returned to the natural cycle.
Before a design can be produced, all the details are summarized on a so-called worksheet. Our pattern maker, who then derives the patterns from this, lives in Lithuania. We are in close contact with her and she often has great suggestions for improving our clothing. Even before the pandemic, we used digital formats here and save a lot of CO2 because we don't fly back and forth. Production also takes place in Lithuania. There we work with a network of independent tailors.
Lithuania is part of the EU. This means that occupational safety, environmental protection and living conditions are guaranteed there. The situation is different in many Asian countries, where a large part of the world's textile production takes place. The proximity to Germany also plays a role. This allows us to keep the transport distance and the associated CO2 emissions as low as possible. In Lithuania we can pay living wages and at the same time offer our customers prices that they are willing and able to pay. We are also extremely happy with our highly qualified seamstresses.
We want to empower women with our clothing. Both the women who wear the clothing and the women who are involved in its production. That's why fair wages and appreciative cooperation are just as important to us as fair prices and good quality.
Our secret weapon is Julia. She speaks fluent Russian and can ensure that there are no communication problems and that everything is sewn exactly as we imagined.
Before our clothes go into production, we receive samples here in Munich, which we rework and modify if necessary. Only then is the complete product produced. You can find even more details about the entire production process in our blog ! We check every single item ourselves before it goes on sale.
Excellent quality is very important to us.
